Meet the black tot team

  • OLIVER CHILTON

    OLIVER CHILTON

    Head Blender

Oliver started his career in spirits retail, working in a variety of shops and learning from his colleagues and customers alike. In 2011, he joined The Whisky Exchange at its shop in Vinopolis, London, soon moving into heading up the events.

In 2013, he went on a whisky-buying trip to Scotland and became hooked, quickly moving into the world of cask selection and buying. In 2015, he was part of the team that launched independent bottler Elixir Distillers, and took on responsibility for the company’s cask purchasing and brand creation.

Oliver now looks after day-to-day business decisions at Elixir Distillers, as well as all the cask buying, selection, blending and bottling for all releases by Elixir Distillers (including, of course, Black Tot).

  • MITCH WILSON

    MITCH WILSON

    Black Tot Global Ambassador

Growing up in England, Mitch started his bar-tending career at London's world-famous tiki bar, Trailer Happiness. Longing to take his skills abroad, he headed to Los Angeles to work at Cole’s Red Car Bar and to Australia where he worked at Sydney’s award-winning cocktail bar PS40 and ran Henrietta Supper Club, serving the local bartender community.

Several flaming pineapples later, Mitch joined Plantation Rum as their brand ambassador for Asia-Pacific, before moving to Elixir Distillers to share his love of Black Tot Rum with the world.

  • Chanel Liquori

    Chanel Liquori

    Marketing Director

Chanel began her career in the drinks industry in 2003 as a Kiwi bartender armed with a degree that no one understood and a bucket of margarita mix that her aunty gave her in a Secret Santa. Since then, Chanel’s trajectory through the industry has seen her travel the world representing international drinks companies such as Pernod Ricard, Bacardi, Atom Brands, before ultimately finding her home with the team at Elixir Distillers and Black Tot Rum.

Inbetween revolutionising Black Tot marketing campaigns in over 30 countries around the world, Chanel enjoys a well-deserved dram or two, while passionately discussing the unparalleled musical genius of Prince. She’ll proudly identifies as an AmeriKiwi (as her true “Maori-Chinese-American-Italian” heritage is a bit of a mouthful).

Chanel’s devotion to Elixir Distillers and Black Tot is rivalled only by the love for her seven thriving houseplants, her loyal but occasionally troublesome Shiborgi canine companion, Sunii the Destroyer, and her partner, Todd.
