Meet the black tot team
Head Blender[email protected]
Oliver started his career in spirits retail, working in a variety of shops and learning from his colleagues and customers alike. In 2011, he joined The Whisky Exchange at its shop in Vinopolis, London, soon moving into heading up the events.
In 2013, he went on a whisky-buying trip to Scotland and became hooked, quickly moving into the world of cask selection and buying. In 2015, he was part of the team that launched independent bottler Elixir Distillers, and took on responsibility for the company’s cask purchasing and brand creation.
Oliver now looks after day-to-day business decisions at Elixir Distillers, as well as all the cask buying, selection, blending and bottling for all releases by Elixir Distillers (including, of course, Black Tot).
Black Tot Global Ambassador[email protected]
Growing up in England, Mitch started his bar-tending career at London's world-famous tiki bar, Trailer Happiness. Longing to take his skills abroad, he headed to Los Angeles to work at Cole’s Red Car Bar and to Australia where he worked at Sydney’s award-winning cocktail bar PS40 and ran Henrietta Supper Club, serving the local bartender community.
Several flaming pineapples later, Mitch joined Plantation Rum as their brand ambassador for Asia-Pacific, before moving to Elixir Distillers to share his love of Black Tot Rum with the world.

Born and raised in São Paulo, Claudia is our resident Italo-Brazilian. Before joining the Black Tot Team, Claudia was Global Customer Marketing Manager for Atom Brands & Maverick Drinks in London, and prior to this had also gained a wealth of experience working for Coca Cola for five years.
She’s passionate about selling rum for a living and when she’s not doing that, you’ll find her watching her favourite documentaries – about giant squids, no less.
PR Manager[email protected]
Always passionate about the world of wine and spirits, Emily's PR career began in PR agencies working for some big food and drink brands on lifestyle focused campaigns.
Progressing to more specialist drinks clients, Emily worked with the Wines of Germany team to take German wine education on the road, while also introducing journalists and bartenders to the wonderful world of Cognac.
Moving in-house to a craft spirits distributor Emily built campaigns to champion small spirits brands before joining the Elixir Distillers team to make the Elixir brands (including Black Tot!) famous.
